So, you’re a Pokémon Go fan, and you’re in Downtown Pittsburgh. You’re in luck.
The heart of Pittsburgh is chock-full of PokéStops and gyms where you can get items and battle other players — not to mention, pack in some sightseeing along the way. UPMC HealthBeat has scoured the city to create a Pittsburgh Pokémon map, pinpointing some of the most popular city attractions and their nearby Pokémon Go attractions.
We started at U.S. Steel Tower and trekked across the river to the North Shore, where we visited PNC Park and Heinz Field. From there, we crossed back over the river to Point State Park and visited Market Square/PPG Place and the David L. Lawrence Convention Center.
If you follow our path, you’ll walk:
- Almost 4 miles, or nearly 6.4 kilometers
- Nearly 4,000 steps, if you’re keeping tabs via your fitness tracker
- More than far enough to hatch one of your eggs in an incubator!
Along the way, you’ll find PokéStops and gyms at nearly every location, plus dozens of PokéStops along the way where you can grab PokéBalls, eggs, incubators, and more.
