The Pediatric Orthopaedic Urgent Care opens Jan. 6, 2020, at UPMC Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh in Lawrenceville.

The pediatric orthopaedic experts staffing the new urgent care will treat children’s orthopaedic injuries after normal business hours, giving parents another option for care.

What is Pediatric Orthopaedic Urgent Care?

At UPMC Children’s Orthopaedic Urgent Care, pediatric patients can receive treatment for orthopaedic injuries that require immediate attention. Because we’re staffed by pediatric orthopaedic experts, we can provide the right care, right away for orthopaedic injuries in kids.

When can I go? Where do I go?

The clinic’s hours are 5 to 9 p.m. Monday through Friday and 1 to 5 p.m. on weekends. We’re located in the Lion Pod on the second floor of UPMC Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh in Lawrenceville. Park in the Penn Garage and take the Grape elevators to floor 2.

How is this different from regular urgent care?

The clinic is staffed by pediatric orthopaedic specialists who can give more specific care to your child’s injuries than a traditional urgent care center can. We hope to provide a quicker diagnosis and treatment to get your child back to full health sooner, all at one visit.

Why is this clinic important?

Injuries don’t always occur during normal business hours. If your child suffers a sprain, dislocation, fracture, or other injury during an evening or weekend, it may need immediate care. That’s where we come in. It’s the right care, the right way.

You can contact UPMC Children’s Orthopaedic Urgent Care at 412-692-8410 with questions, but we don’t take appointments.
